Battery storage area on the 222
Hi Chuck, My battery is stored in the cabin, under the cockpit area near the bulkhead for the settees. It's probably in the same place as yours. I'm going to try not to use any gasoline, and just use my sails more. In fact, now that I have this furler, I'll be using my Gennie more than ever. On the rope hanging board; If you have an existing piece of deck hardware over the area where you want to mount a board, you can attach a Stainless Steel "L" bracket to it on the end of a short piece of strapping like I did, for the vertical support. Then attach a cross piece of strapping to that with wood screws to the Settee bulkhead with another "L" and a small bolt and nut. This will give you a "nailer" for the rope board. You could also glass in a couple of mounting blocks of wood to the inside of the hull and use them to attach the board. The board doesn't have to look like a piece of furniture. Nobody ever sees it unless the hatch is open. Thanks, Joe
