Is there a standard rope size for all uses - sheets, uphauls etc for the Oday 23. Is this 7/16" by any chance ??? The boat that I am restoring has such a mix, none of which I am convinced by. Can this be used for the anchor rope ? I guess that I would need a different size. Would appreciate any help on dimensions and what length needed. Thanks

Oday 23 Running Rigging

7/16" seems a little big for your boat. On my Oday 23 I use 3/8 for the halyards and mainsheet and 5/16 for the jibsheets. They work fine.

all the same!!

The larger the line the easier it is on your hands. For a 23 foot boat the 3/8 line is about right. And I would use the 3/8 line for all applications, except if you have small blocks and etc for vangs and such. The main use lines should be 3/8 in. lines.
