Hi folks,
Years ago, like 25 or more, I purchased a handy little item from Davis Instruments at a boat show. It was a plastic "card" with incremented cutouts, to quickly measure rope and wire diameter. It's a simple item that worked really well. Unfortunately last year time took it's toll and I tossed it out thinking I could just buy a new one from Davis. Well........ now I can't find one anywhere. Do any of you fine seafaring men and women know where I might find one or any advice on how you measure rope and, more particularly, wire diameter?

Thanks,

I use an inexpensive Vernier Caliper. It reads inches and millimeters.
Great solution, thanks! I just ordered one of those little plastic calipers on amazon. Sure would like to find one of those cards again though. It was really handy.

Try zarcom.com Site. I know John was handing out those plastic card-type line/cabling measuring cards at several boat shows.
