Ronin

Well, I have now achieved Ronin status. Saga sold today and I really am happy with the guy who bought her. The deal was fair to the owner, me, and the purchaser. He got a boat that was well cared for.

I may take a break from sailboat ownership for a while. Life is just getting in the way. I didn't want to see Saga sit in a lot and not get used. It wasn't right to her.

No, I won't be leaving here. Too many friends and old glory. Besides, once a sailor always a sailor. I will still sail some with friends and family.

Who knows, down the road I will probably get back into it when life permits.

I figured that Ronin was a good way to put it. A captain without a boat is like a warrior without a chieftain.

Let's face it, sailors are just better people. Rarely have I found a sailor who doesn't help out when it is possible. An example is that a powerboater will usually watch you come into a dock, a sailor will throw you a line.
