I give up

I have no idea why the photo won't upload. Too bad -- it was a dandy. In the immortal words of W.C. Fields: "If at first you don't succeed, try again. Then quit -- no sense being a damn fool about it."

local options

Rob and other LIS locals....even if you can't bring your boat for the whole weekend (or have plans during the day on Saturday) you are all still welcome to come and have dinner (plans are in the works for a big barr-bee-que) and hang out with all the O'Day owners. Plus there will be live music (we've had 4 years to practice....well, 4 times within those 4 years...but hell who cares?? after a few dark and stormys the music sounds GREAT : ) Mike c. All Set..

Just booked may slip at Milford Landing. I will be there from the 12th to the 16th. I am trailering my 23 down from New Hampshire. Anybody else looking to trailer, these guys are all set up for us. What they do is give you a "launch Pass" to go across the way and launch. Keep your boat tied up there, bring truck/trailer back to the marina, then take a foot brigde over to retrive your boat (unless your wife/partner isn't afriad to move either the truck or boat, then you can just meet up at the marina...ha ha ha). This will be my first rOnDAYvous and really looking forward to meet you all.

my wish

My wish is that we have at least 20 boats this year!!! What a sight that would be!! I'm working on some ideas to do on Saturday . A blindfolded dink race, a treasure hunt using GPS coordinates, Best hor'dourve(sp??), best Boat Drink (mmmm), Best Appitizer made onboard, Best "dressed" Boat, etc.,etc. I will heading to D&R marine in the next few weeks. I hope that Rudy can attend this year!!! At least he will get to see the pics form previous years and hang a rOnDAYvous flyer up in his shop. More info to come...SIGN UP NOW!!!!! Mike C. Curses!

It sounds like great good fun. And here I am land locked in the Great Lakes unable to find my way to the eastern seaboard for a the rOnDAYvous. So I say curses. Hope you all have a great time. Mike Pitterpat

You gotta do it!

RAD, Trying to plan a Long Island circumnav? Then you have to make the rOnDAYvous part of your plans. There will be owners from the North Shore, South Shore, Connecticut Shore, Jersey Shore and much more -- so there's bound to be someone from your area, or from somewhere along your route. Best way I know of to fit the rOnDAYvous into your plans? Pick up a pen (a Sharpie is best), walk over to your kitchen calendar, write the word "rOnDAYvous" in big block letters on the dates July 13-15, then get out your chartbook and start dreaming of warmer weather. See you there (I hope)... Pete s/v EmmieLou (O-322) Little Silver, NJ

"rOnDAYvous report" is almost ready

The year's first issue of "The rOnDAYvous Report," the e-newsletter all about things pertaining to the owners' rOnDAYvous, should be ready for distribution via e-mail by the end of next week. If you're planning to attend the big event (July 13-15 at Milford Landing Marina in Connecticut), please make sure I have you on the dedicated address list so you get the regular updates and information in each issue. Even if you're just considering attending, or are curious as to what all the fuss is about, I'll be happy to add you to the e-mail list. And, while I have your attention, DON'T FORGET TO RESERVE YOUR SLIP AT MILFORD! You can call the nice folks there at 203-874-1610 to make the reservation. You'll need to have a credit card handy (they won't charge your account till you get there). And be sure to tell them that you're part of the O'day owners' rOnDAYvous.
