Ronco holding tank model number for starboard locker

All,

I've been going through several threads on this forum about replacing the holding tank on a Hunter 37c 1984. I'm hoping to remove it following these instructions from the modifications section.

I saw a few people using the main forward locker to put a much bigger holding tank (22 gallons I believe) like this one (I found the exact Ronco model # for that). I'd rather keep that locker for storage. There's also the option of putting it in the cutout of the v-bert like this. I'd like to reuse the existing location for the holding tank, but extend it in the small starboard locker too.This modification includes this image shows what I'd like to do.
I'm hoping I might be able to go over 15 gallons if I do that. I contacted the user who posted the modification (Renasci at sailh37 at you hou.com), but I thought I should also post here.

My questions:

1. Any idea what the original tank size is?
2. Has someone here did the modification I'm trying to do (i.e. reusing current tank location, but extending in locker)
3. If so would you have some guidance, perhaps a ronco model number

I do not think you can have it all.

The original tank was very small for this size boat. I think you best bet is to put in the tank that will fit through the opening. I think you will need to glass in a shelf to support the tank.

Another option is to cut out the area so you can mount a larger tank forward and then re-glass the cut out area back into place. I think that Ed Schenck did something like this.

Thank you for the reply! Any idea of what the original capacity was? This is a liveaboard so locker space (especially large locker) is more important than waste space to me (single guy). I'm thinking of sacrificing the small starboard locker though and merge with existing space. Definitely I'll need some sort of shelf... Lots of fun

I put my new holding tank under the V-berth. Rather than cut out and destroy the original holding tank, which if memory serves was 11 gal. but that seems too big, I cut out the shower seat then the top of the holding tank. I cleaned out the dried compost (didn't even stink) and painted with epoxy then enamel. Some automotive trim went around the rough aluminum edge and a laminated cedar "cutting board" was built and contoured to fit the shower seat. The shower is now more comfortable, the holding tank bigger, and I have a far more accessible storage bin, albeit smaller, than the storage under the V-berth. Easier to get at the plumbing fittings, too.
