OK - ready to take the big plunge and do the holding tank replacement. I have checked the forums already. From experience, please, does the Ronco B223 actually fit the v-berth locker once the opening is cut out as per Morrie's archived post? What other tanks larger than 20 gallons have been successfully used under the v-berth?

OK - I finally discerned from the archives that Morrie gave up on his B223. Didn't fit but I would like to know in what way - through the doors? Ed S.- Which model of Ronco did you install? I know it was a 22 gal. but they come in many different shapes. I guess I may have to make my own glass one.

The Related Link will take you to the project where the pictures of my install live. As you will read there I could have installed a much different and larger capacity tank. But I had to retain access to the transducers. And the 22 gal. B128 left me with storage room also. The way I make the tank last is to not fill it with flush water. I tell users to just clear the bowl. Then before bed I make sure the hoses are clear. With good hoses and judicious use of Odor Safe I have not had a problem. I am actually on my boat. I stopped here in NC on the way home from Florida. I plan to sail on the Pamlico tomorrow, maybe over to Oriental for lunch. Fun to be back aboard.

I can't find the model number you listed in the on line Kracor catalog. Was it a special order? What are the physical dimensions? Thanks, Richard

Ronco's #B-225 25-gal tank works just fine also. Fits through the door and into the locker with no problem. To make sure, I made a mock-up from the dimensions on their website before ordering. Impeller is still serviceable as well. Does anyone have a source (inexpensive) for the hose from the head to the tank?
