I agree -- Take lessons
Gee,I agree with George, take lessons. You'll learn more in a few days of lessons that in a summer of sailing. The ASA classes teach the really important things like docking, man over board (MOB), who has right of way, basic navigation and basic boat safety. They will also teach you about your boat, sail trim and how a roller furing works.I'm sure you have many options on the Chesapeake. If you have a significant other take the lessons together. It's fun and a great investment.George, we took our sailing lessons with Bay Breeze in Traverse City. We've chartered with them a couple of times in addition to the lessons. Last July we sailed to Charlevoix for a week. Not a lot of wind, but we had a great time.I hope spring comes soon!! Good sailing.http://home.att.net/~dragonflyb331/Mark
