I recently purchased an Oday 19...my first sail boat. I have a rip in my jib and am not sure how to go about removing the sail from the roller furling. Would be happy to hear some tips on how this works. Thanks

the jib can be removed by lowering the jib, release the jib haylard, the jib can be pulled down through the grove on the furler.

I did the same thing, but noticed my halyard was too short, so I tied another line to the end of the halyard so as not to loose it up the mast!

The jib has a "rope" sewn into the luff of the jib and it is slid into a track on the roller furling foil. Simply release the halyard's bitter end and lower to the deck as the bolt rope slides down the foil track. Take care to keep the bitter end of the halyard from going up the mast.
