Roller furling replacement parts

I have a 1982 Hunter 22 with roller furling. After a long winter storage I notcied that the drum on the furler had a huge crack in it. Can anyone tell me how and where I can find repacement drums for older systems? I was also thinking about apoxying and placing a strip of fiberglass around it. Has anyone done this before and if so what were your results? Thanks

what brand?

Without knowing who made the furler its impossible to tell you where to go for parts. If its a plastic drum and its older, it could be a CDI furler. As far as repairing it yourself, what have you got to lose at this point?
