I am going to be dropping the mast on my 1983 O'Day 30' to move it. Is there any maintenance that should be performed on the roller furling gear, which is also 21 years old?
if you can afford to replace it and also inspect your rigging, it may also be time to replace the stays. My harken mk III furler unit is a night & day difference vs. the OEM CDI furler.
