Roller Furling jib line

My line to the drum of my rolling furling jib broke last season. I have a h 23 1985. I need to replace it. What length is needed. I assume it is a little longer than the length of the boat. Thanks in advance. Dave

furling line

should be twice your boat's length. Keep in mind that the line will roll onto the drum. On a 23, you will need 50 feet more or less. I replaced the furling line on my 30. I used a braided/cored polyester that I found at a home improvement store. I don't recall if it came as 75 or 100 feet, but it only cost $10. It works great, doesn't stretch and a little excess line is always good to have around.
