I currently have a 35 pound Genuine CQR anchor mounted on a bow roller made for it with the captive pin. I what to switch to a 33 pound Rocna. Anyone know if the Rocna will fit the CQR roller or will I need to get a new roller?
In addition to the excellent advice of cutting a cardboard model by @dlochner , may I suggest doing a bunch of measurements to see if it will fit? One of the problems that some Catalinas had was a remarkably short anchor fitting so that plow anchors like the Rocna would actually hit the fiberglass of the bow under the mount . Make sure it fits in all dimensions.
We replaced a 75# CQR with an 88# Rocna without a problem. We do not have any sort of metal to metal securing system, though.
What we could not do, however, was carry both on our double rollers.

My C30 is a tall rig with bow sprit so clearance to the hull in no problem. My CQR roller goes over the top and to one side of the starboard side of the double roller and extends out and additional 6" so I have lots of clearance below the sprit. The idea of a carboard cutout is great. If they have cad drawings I could print it full size and glue it to carboard for cutting.
