Rochester, NY Sailboat Rental

I will be visiting relatives in Rochester during the latter part of August and would like to revisit boating on Lake Ontario (from many years ago) by renting a sailboat for an afternoon or a day. Anything in the 18-30 foot class would be fine with me. I own and sail a Hunter 320 extensively, but I have sailed other smaller boats and have my ASA Keelboat Certification earned on a Colgate 26. Anyone have any suggestions for whom I might contact?

May be difficult.

To my knowledge, there are no sailboat rental agencies in the Rochester area. We do have two dealer/brokers that you might try: Mike Radigan at Navy Point Marine at 716-266-3980 and RCR Yachts at 716-339-9730. You might try the local marina by calling Skip Shumway at Shumway Marine at 716-342-3030. You might also visit the Rochester Yacht Club web site at http://www.rochesteryc.com/ to see if any of their members rent or lease their boats.
