NicenEasy asks how it is that that tug can operate without any licensed operators aboard. That's a valid question. Lots of sailors, being strong individuals, tend to oppose any sort of government regulation. But clearly there is a role for such regulation. I was just reading today that deaths in the steel industry have doubled this year. At the same time, OSHA, for all its weaknesses, has been crippled, partly by lack of funding.
As sailors, we base ourselves on a love of the environment - the wind, clean waters, dolphins, etc. Left to their own devices, these corporations will foul up everything.
