My 18' boat is purported to displace 1350 pounds. What size and type of anchor should I be using, and how much of what weight chain? Thanks for the help. MARK

Richard - that was a very good link you had, pretty much says it all. Mark - down near the botom of Richard's link is Item #4 which says something to the effect "when in doubt go larger". The rationale is that for very few bucks you can have a much better ground tackle system. Realize this is what keeps you from dragging or being blown away during some high winds. This is an important piece of gear. To go larger is to err on the side of the angels.
