I want to re-rig my home-made, wooden, fourteen-foot lateen rig ro a stayed-mast with jib. Does anyone out there have experience with this?

Please post a photo of your boat, mast and current rigging. Long shot .......might do an internet search on rigging of a similar size dinghy sailboat like "Hobie Holder 14 rigging images" and purchase this book: 100 Small Boat Rigs: Bolger, Philip C.: 9780877421825: Amazon.com: Books

You’d have to move the mast aft.
when I built my boat, the plans came with an optional balance lug rig or sloop. I went with the lug.
I think, if I wanted to change it, it wouldn’t be *too* hard, but it would be a lot. We‘re talking about new mast step, spars, sails, standing rigging, jib sheets . . .
