We recently purchased a 1986 Huner 31 and would appreicate any specs you might have on rigging/tuning the mast. By the way, we love our new boat!!

Why not check with HUnter to se if they have copies of the rigging instructions and schematics from the owner's manual. The B&R rig requires that you tune part of the rigging while the mast is unstepped. I don't have a scanner or I would post it here. You might look in the archives and it might be good information for the photo forum for future reference if somebody could post it. Good luck wioth your new boat.

The mast does not have to be dropped!

Go to the site selection portion from the main page and then go to the reference page for the B & R rig. It gives a nicely written article which covers the design of the rigging as well as step by step instructions on how to tune your B & R rig with the mast up or down.

I am sure that I have read some pretty specific information on tuning the H31 in the archives. Be sure to check there. Additionally you might want to check out www.briantoss.com. He is a master rigger with lots of good information on his web site. As Brian says, "Fair Leads." RB
