Rigging questions

I bit off more than I can chew. For an O'Day 22 does anyone know if there is a place with pictures of how it is supposed to be rigged. I bought the boat and it "has all the rigging" but it is coiled up and I am not sure where to begin.

Also not even sure how to attach the mast to the deck. There are some braces but I am not sure if I should just fasten it with bolts.

I may just take it to the boatyard and have them do it but I can't even get a quote from them until I bring it in.

If there is a website or a book that someone could suggest it would be much appreciated.

Check out this site Mike. http://www.iheartodays.com/ What year is this boat? The date would be the last two numbers on the outside transom of the boat in the upper right corner. For instance: XDY = Mfg, O'Day followed by "J" which stands for O'Day 22. Then there will be four numbers which stand for the serial numbers and a single letter M for model with two numbers like M 78 or 1978 and another letter after the 78 like "A", which could stand for Jan, the month it was built. You should have a fore stay and a back stay, two lower stays and two upper stays with spreaders. I'm not sure, but you should have some kind of a hinged Tabernacle on the bottom of your mast. In Gloucester, there has to be a ton of these boats in the many marinas located there. Check around and see if you can locate one at a slip. Talk to the owners and ask a lot of questions. Take some pics. Check out these sites.

I love to eat, as you might be able to tell by my girth if you saw any of my pictures, but I'm not much of a beer drinker.:) I could probably make it all the way up to Gloucester from my home in Taunton if I try, but I wouldn't want to be buried that far away from home. :D
Never sit in a kayak when it's partially on shore. I was sitting in my kayak waiting for Penny to curb, when all of a sudden some joker came by in a powerboat and raised a wake that went right over my kayak and got me soaked, --at 6:00AM! I haven't swore in three years, but you could hear me swearing up and down the river that morning! :cussing:
