Hi all,

New to this forum but have a question about rigging. I bought and restored a 39ft one design racing sailboat. I need to step and rig the mast next week but am unsure of which stanchions go where. the mast has three spreaders, there are three fixing points on the deck. two are about 10" in from the gunwale one of which is in line with the mast and the other about a foot aft. the third is about 3" in from the gunwale and about 18" aft of the mast. What I need to know is which stanchions go to which fitting?
I could post pics if need. Thanks in advance

Stanchions are the usually stainless steel support for the lifelines. I think you mean turnbuckles, for the rigging.

To figure out what goes where, try look t the Harken website for rigging ideas.

Thanks stu, of course I meant to say shrouds. Think I have the answer now and the Harken site was very helpful all the best
