I am a proud owner of the Oday 15 dingy. it was in an estate without any info and rigging lying in the bottom of boat. Not sure if all rigging is there but my main concern is the backstay is missing and the headstay is without connection and adjustment hardware. There is a bow plate to connect to that has a jib furler attached. The headstay has like a 15" pigtail and stretchband attached that has me confused. hope someone out there can help.

Dinghys are usually easy. No back stay is normal. Side stays are usually swept back. And a forestay that runs through the furler.

Pictures are worth a thousand words.

On a snipe the forestay is loose unless the jib is up. A piece of shock cord keeps it neat if the jib is not deployed.

There are 2 different O'day 15s listed on Sailboatdata.com. The 15-1: http://sailboatdata.com/viewrecord.asp?class_id=2149 and the newer 15-2: http://sailboatdata.com/viewrecord.asp?class_id=5384 Not to be confused with a Javelin.

They both look pretty easy, though the older one uses upper shrouds and lowers, while the newer just seems to have shrouds. My guess is that this is a hank on jib boat. Simple sail controls. If you're familiar with dinghies at all, should be a piece of cake.

If something has got you confused, you really ought to describe the issue and post a few pictures.
