Rigging for Spinnaker Set-up

Two bits of info I'm interested in knowing. 1.I'm adding winches in the coamings for a spinnaker set-up. This season will be used for jib sheets only. What's the most efficient way to run the sheets back to the winches to keep the lines out of the cockpit and avoid rubbing the arch/roll-bar. 2. When considering a spinnaker/whisker pole, what has proven to be the best combo, and what additional hardware would be needed to achieve this.

Thoughts

Spinnaker sheets are traditionally run to blocks on the aftermost portion of the toerail - with the chute flying, the active sheet probably won't impinge on your arch, but, if it does, you may need to fasten blocks to the arch. You might also just consider REMOVING that arch altogether.As for the pole, you need to get one that is sized correctly for your boat and chute, i.e., about 2.5 to 3.0inches in diameter. Please do not be tempted to undersize on the pole diameter - this is very dangerous. The pole should be the length of your J dimension, and will also serve as a whisker pole.MC
