rigging for hunter 30ft 1981

Recently I purchased a Hunter 30ft model 1981. I needed to replace the furler and genoa the guy that looked at my boat said that the standing rigging need to be replaced so he quoted me 6800.-$ for the job. I find it way too expensive can any one advise me how to go about this?

Try Seco South, they are located in your part of the country. You may be able to drop the mast and take the parts to them. Take a look at the Spin-Tec furler units that are sold on this web site. Very high quality unit at a reasonable price.
