The website, I heart Odays, has reproduction owners manuals available for some models. ( no affiliation )
You will have standing rigging which holds the mast up, and running rigging which controls the sails.
A friend with some experience is helpful too.

D&R Marine in Assonet, MA has the rigging diagram/instructions for the O'DAY 20. The diagrams will show the 1976-78 model, but most of the info will apply to the entire 1973-78 production run. Rudy Nickerson at D&R was the Parts Dept. Manager at O'DAY from 1973-89 and is THE person to contact for any O'DAY-specific replacement parts.
