I have a 22 O'Day and sail most every weekend. Let me know exactly what you want your boat to do. Email works better for me. express898@hotmail.com

o'day 22 rigging

You mean your mainsheet, right? Depending on the model, you attach the mainsheet from the boom to the back stay. Do you have a a triangular metal piece with a hole in it? It connects the back stay to the backstay adjuster. That's where you attach the other end of the mainsheet. I have a 1973 Oday 22. this is what the inmstruction booklet shows but I am considering changing this configuration because it seems to put a lot of stress on the back stay and the mast. I would love to hear from others and how they handle this.
