Does anybody have a drawing or picture of the main sheet and vang rigging on an 84 H-31? Our boat came on a trailer and I am having a little trouble sorting it out. Also, I assume the lines for these run back to the cockpit and the reefing lines and outhaul terminate at the base of the mast. Is this correct? Thanks! You're correct

I don't have any drawings, but I would suggest you lay out all the lines and measure them. Then take a look at any comparable boat in a nearby slip. It will come together pretty quickly once you see the lines and the vang setup.

Maybe this'll help.....

The 2 reef lines and the outhaul run inside the boom and exit at the forward end of the boom, down thru jam cleats....they do not route back to the cockpit. Outhaul in the middle and reef lines on each side. They are all 3/8 lines, and the outhaul on mine converts to wire rope before terminating on the mainsail clew. The 2nd reef line should be 40 feet long. 1st reef about 15 feet, and the outhaul about 25 feet.

OK but...

...there should 2 turning blocks at the base of the mast. One for the vang and one for the main sheet? I must be missing one if that is the case. Do they both connect to the same "loop" at the aft of the mast base? I do not have any others to look at and some of my lines are missing so the measurements are a big help.
