Hi All: We are probably all familier with how Hunters tend to "Sail" while at anchor. A few weeks ago, I made a makeshift riding sail from a tarp, just to see what how effective it might be. The results were less than spectacular. I was still swinging through about a 90 degree arc while other boats sat there peacefully, hardly moving. Has anyone tried a real sail with good, or at least better results, and if so, how much square footage do you have. I suppose the only way to rig the sail would be from the topping lift to the end of the boom ?. Thanks..... Jeff

Check the archives

A search of the archives on this site gives you a lot of answers. Search all available years for the exact tetm "riding sail." I have used on on a 380 with great success. I currently use one on my 280 and it works OK but not as well as it did on the 380.
