As I mentioned, I like the picture - I also like the name of the boat "Whiskey Chaser". There are 2 controls (and only 2 controls) on the mainsail that control twist and they are the mainsheet and boom vang. It appears the traveler is correctly placed and the boom is along the center line but the top half of the sail is twisted off and appears to be chocking off the slot between the jib and main yet even with all that the boat is going along pretty good. I'm not sure of this due to the fact I'm not totally familiar wth the Hunters but I think he is stuck with his sail shape due to the bridge and the cut of the sail. My suggestion would be to crank the hell out of the boom vang but I don't think he has any where to go because of the bridge on the stern than will prevent the boom from coming down any lower. Even if he could crank the boom down I don't think he could get all the twist out of the sail due to the way the sail may have been built. Maybe he could move the traveler more towards port which would put the boom past the center line but I suspect it would make the situation worse. Alan - what do you think?
