I was looking at the radio installation that you posted in the photo forum on your H23.5. I have an H240 and am thinking of something similar. I have not removed the forward balkhead yet. Is it simply a large void behind it. Is the bulkhead structural? If so will this weaken it? Any thoughts would be appreciataed

Simple

There are just four screws and some silicone that hold the panel in. Behind is the anchor locker and the drain hose, thats it. There is nothing structual that I can see at all. When you take measurements for the depth of the shelf be sure to lake them from the bottom so as to take into account the bow angle. My assistant did it from the middle and we wound up having to takeanother couple of inches out of the shelf. It was all done with a quarter sheet of half inch teak plywood. Send us a picture when you are done.
