Ric, Did you replace the chain plate? I do not see a way to access this from inside the cabin. It looks like it is attatched to the wall that seperates the cabin from the bow. Also, when you installed the larger plywood backing for the motor mount and gungeons, did you glass it in? I would be interested in talking with you if you have time. Please let me know if this is a possibility. -David

No Chain Plate

Didn't do th chain plate so I don't know. I also didn't glass in the board backing plate, just used poly so it could flex and move. I used 3/4 plywood on the rudder and swim ladder mounts and spread the coverage area as wide as possible while avoiding too much curvature of the hull. On the engine mount I used 3/4 oak and drilled the nut seats at the same angle as the hull so they were square. You can send me an e-mail at nccgm@aol.com ad I'll giv you my phone number.
