Oday Rhodes 19 Lake George
I'm hoping to add an electric bilge pump to my Rhodes 19 (perhaps one on each side of the centerboard but then I'd have to drill another outlet for the second pump). There's no electric in it anymore but I think it once had an electric bilge pump and there are running lights on it. Originally I was going to use the SLA battery from an old lawn tractor (newer SigmasTek battery) but if a regular lead-acid deep cycle battery won't actually leak when the boat is heeling maybe I should just get one of those and secure it in a battery box.

Are there any guides for this? I read that I need a solar charge controller and stumbled upon this one: https://www.amazon.com/Victron-Energy-SmartSolar-Charge-Controller/dp/B091DBN154 but I don't know much about what fuse blocks / switches are good for something that has an open cabin like this.
