About 2 years ago I bought the revision kit for the Hood 810 for my C-30 due to the fact it was hanging up and slipping. I replaced everything that could be repaced in the 810 and the problems still continued with this continuous line furler. I bought the single line revision kit. Well, I have problems with this also. I will explain the problems and see if anyone has a solution or has had the similar problem. The kit that they sent me was an open spool with 3 stainless steel uprights that are suppose to keep the single line in the spool when furling. Yes, I did decore the line. Well what happens as yesterday, in heavy winds the line pops out over the stainless steel strut and now is on the outside of the spool and will not furl. These stainless steel struts are suppose to line up with the top cover for this spool. Only one of the struts fits snugly, one bends easily out of alignment and the 3rd one will come out under force in heavy winds. The only way to furl, when this happens, is to go out on the bow in heavy winds with a phillips screwdriver to drop this stainless steel 3 struts cage and get the line back in the cage and the to put the 3 screw back in. With water coming over the bow, I could think of better ways to have a challange. I was thinking of having a machine shop either make the stuts thicker or a little longer. I hope I have discribed the problem adequately. Hood has not been exactly helpful. Any help from the members would be appreciated.Anita
