Cat 30 tall rig, 2 bladed prop, with Atomic-4 engine. Boat pulls hard to port in reverse and moves slowly compared to forward. Any suggestions?

It's called "prop walk"

when it goes in a certain direction in reverse. Do a search on this forum and read all about it.

Most boats back slower because of the way the prop is made, and most people try to go too slow in reverse -unless you're moving, the rudder will provide no directional assistance because water is not flowing over it.

You do NOT have an unusual condition.

I'm in the market as were . Colonial Beach
The pull to the port side when in reverse is called prop walk. The prop walk is very normal and you can actually use it to assist in getting the boat into certain areas. Once you get use to it you plan for it and it is of no issue at all.

A4 walk

Just like all of them Ken..... Just enjoy that good engine and allow for the prop walk... A folding prop will walk even farther to port!
