reverse polarity

When I switch on the inverter at the AC panel, the reverse polarity indicator lights up. I tested all of my outlets and they indicate open ground. Before I hire an electrician does anyone have any suggestions on what else I could test or look at that might be the cause of the trouble. I have a B361 and everything seems to work OK when I do have the inverter on. Thank you.

I am no electrician but, sounds like something is miswired. As I understand it, you have 3 wires in the system. Line, Neutral and Ground. Neutral and Ground should be at the same voltage. Line will be at 120VAC compared to either ground or neutral.

Check the instructions for the inverter and then check the wiring.
