I want to get the cushions on my 1974 Catalina 27 reupholstered. Any do's don't's or tips? What kind of price am I looking at? Any and all input is welcome and needed!
We paid $1700 for a complete set of cabin cushions. They were 4" thick(like originals) and our boat is a 1979 Cat 27 model. There are many choices of fabric and I know you know what water-oriented cushions must be able to endure. We are very happy with the results, and we got them from a recommended private upholsterer whose list of customers includes the local Palmer Johnson Company. Hope this helps.
If you are going to replace the foam as well as the material. The existing foam can distort in shape and does not make a good template, as I found out. Now I have new, but mis-shaped cushions.
