Resetting lifeline stantions????

Hi folks, can anyone direct me to a alink in the archives or tell me the best way to redo the lifeline stantion brakets for strength.
I think I have read where most folks drill a lot of the old balsa core out, pour something down the hole and put the bracket and screws in place. Is this right...if so what do I fill the hole with ...and how do you tighten the screws down?

Jack, I can only tell you how I managed the problem. I drilled the holes for the stanchion bases and then with a hole saw removed a plug of glass and core and replaced it with a plug of black locust wood also cut with a hole saw and bedded in resin. I redrilled the holes and made a backing plate to match the stanchion base. I counter sunk all of the holes and bedded the base with the bolts in place. With someone on the out side to prevent the screws from turning I tightened the nuts.

Stanchions need to be THROUGH-BOLTED with a serious backing plate. Screws are not strong enough to deal with the loads and leverage exerted on the bases.
