Bob,
Your nice HD photos show a VHF antenna on the mizen mast - and I wonder why he did not make a call for help much earlier.
A pluck off into deeper or safer water could have saved his ship and himself as well.

Pretty boat, I hope they get it off the beach before it breaks up. I wonder why he didn't have the sails on? Maybe he could have clawed his way off the beach if he'd had a main or jib.
