An anchor locker doesn't have a drain? Seems a little counter intuitive.
I agree. I've thought about installing one, but it would just be easier to waterproof it. On the plus side, my anchor and rode do get a nice freshwater rinse every time it rains! :)

The anchor locker does not have a drain, but I have ordered a new latch for it and will be installing both the latch and a gasket to keep it watertight tomorrow.
And what if you have to deploy/retreive the anchor in the rain? Take a bath in the locker?

Seems like a drain is the appropriate step to take. My O’Day 322 has a very shallow anchor locker (I call it a “pan” because it is so shallow), but even it has a drain.

My 1980 C25 had an anchor drain but it was small and would get plugged up so I needed to keep the locker clean.
