I wondered about mast rake and bend when we bought our Hunter 10 years ago and could not get an answer from the factory.I did notice that the luff had a definite curve. So, my wife and I laid out the main on our lawn, staked the tack and the head, pulling the sail taut, but not stretched.Next we ran a line between the two points, then my wife stitched tufts of blue yard about four inches apart down the luff. With the sail raised on the mast, and with that tack to head line attached, I bent the mast until the blue tufts lined up with the line.
