Im replacing both my overhead windshield panels. I posted previously on how to remove these effortlessly, and it took me less than 20 minutes to pull each one.
Hunter installed these with Dow 795, which I think was a mistake. The 795 is an industrial sealant for glass, and over time loses its bond to plexiglas.
I’m using Sikafkex and the primer this time around.
The Sikafkex is 4 x the price of 795, which is likely why hunter went with the 795.
On a vertical surface you can get away with it, but on a horizontal window where any cracks will leak like crazy, 795 just isn’t worth the savings.
If any more info needed on replacing windshields, look at my other posts
