The windows on my Col. 30 have hazed and cracked and need to be repaired. The challenge I am having is removing the windows from the boat. The old caulk has become one with the window and the boat and I can't seem to get it to separate. Is there something that I can put on the old caulk that will disolve it or break it down so I can get the windows out. Any suggestions are welcome! Skip

If the windows are plexi or lexan the cracking was probable caused by coming into contact with polyurithane type sealants. This would also explain why they are so stuck as that stuff is really strong. There is a product that disolves this type of sealant which I believe is made by SikaFlex. If you use a box cutter or carpet knife and can get it into the crack once the stuff starts to let go just keep on prying and cutting.Good luck
