Replacing Water lines

I just bought my Hunter 30 89'. As I was making sure everything worked I discovered I have a water leak in one of the water lines. I managed to track it down to one of the lines going to the sink in the head. I believe it's the cold water line. My question is how do you replace those things? It's snaked through the hull and doesn't seem easy to pull out much less snake a new one back in. Has any one else had to replace these lines before? Thanks

Why not just replace the leaking section?

Cut the piece out of the hose that's leaking, put in a new piece using a 1/2" male-male connector. Double clamp at both ends. Use Shields or Trident #148 white potable water/sanitation hose.

Can't get to it.

Peggie, The water line runs between the hull and the floor and there is no access to where the break is. The only two things I can think to do is attach a pull string to one end and try to pull it out. Then hope I can get another back throught with the pull string. Or get some new line and re-route it some how. But I think that might entail drilling holes in the floor bottem. Wait a minute. I just thought of something. I'll try combining your idea with my first. I'll attach a new section to the good part back by the water pump and pull at the head side where I think the problem is until I reach the break. Thanks for the help.

Use a hose barb...

Try using a hose barb. Connect at the old end of the hose and to the new hose. Be sure the barb is a snug fit so it doesn't come apart while pulling the old hose out. You could also use hose clamps but they may get snagged somewhere along the way. Maybe even cement to help secure the two pieces togather? Goodluck. Paul

Paul almost got a good alternative right

Pull the new hose through as you pull the old hose out. However, you can't use a hose barb or hose clamps 'cuz you need the whole thing to be a smooth unbroker surface that can't hang up on anything OR pull apart. You have to use a male-male connector...butt the ends tightly together...use only PVC cement to glue each end onto the connector. When you get the hose through, cut the new hose off behind the connector.
