So I am going to buy this Oday 25 and the biggest eyesore is that the liner on the inside of the hull has discolored and is falling off. It looks nasty. Anysuggestions about the best way to replace it? What should I use and how should I prep the area. Thanks Art

Capt. Art Refer to the link. I used the material on my 26 O'day and was very pleased with the outcome. Unlike vinyl the cloth material has some stretch to it so if you have to go around contours it is easier to work. I used a higher temp spray glue / contact cement to adhere to the hull. You need a respirator while doing this. As far as prep I used a wire brush to remove as much as the residual glue and wiped it all down with acetone - again use a respirator and get a positive air flow thru the boat. Charles Bowers

I was thinking about some sort of fabric or carpeting. I have even seen people put t&g beadboard along the hull. That is a lot of work! Where did you start the process? Is it beter to work from the center out or from a bulkhead in one direction or another? Art

On ours....
We had the same thing when we bought ours. I removed old carpeting and scrubbed with stiff brush.I used a shop vac with a long enough hose that the vac stayed out in the cockpit. We picked out a medium blue outdoor carpet from a big box store. I used the old "burlap" as a template .The replacement pieces were installed using a low odor adhesive .We are going on our second season and are quite pleased.

NO not yet, I am going to get it soon. It needs quite a bit of work. Mostly cosmetic amd I am unsure of the condition of the centerboard. It needs a tourough cleaning and some ports and deck hardware replaced adn rebedded (leaks) Outboard needs work, paint on hull damaged. But it seems to be in good shape structuraly. We need a bigger boat for the family. The standing rigging is original and I have to inspect it. But I am getting this 75 oday 25 for around $1500. It currently sits in the slip next to mine at our saing club. I hope to sell my Catalina 22 that is in great shape and be able to buy this 25 and use the proceded to renovate it. There are a few other things that the 25 needs but I suppose I could have it sailing fairly quickly. I am trying to borrow a trailer that a club member owns for a similar boat to mhaul it out and work on it. Art

Hey what is up with the centerboard post being in the middle of the cabin. It is not a big deal but I wonder if you could somehow make it shorter to be able to fold the table up and out of the way and still be able to use the crank. Or maybe locate a small winch in the bilge and get rid of it all together? Although that would most likley flood the boat. Have any of you seen any other soulutions? Art
