Has anyone has the opportunity to replace a stantion. Over this winter water and ice collected in gullies of my canvass cover and bent one stantion and seperated another from its base. I while I could have had them welded, I was fortunate to be able to locate two from Catalina, perhaps the last two.
My question is how to remove the old ones. I can reach under the side molding and with great difficulty feel most inward set of nuts but I can't seem to find the ouward set. I don't know if they are accessable from the inside. I even took off the molding in the salon but was unable to locate the nuts. Perhaps there are only backing plates under the outer bolts rather than nuts - unlikely but you never know. Catalina doesn't seem to know the answer.
If you have any info, I would greatly appreciate it
Jeff
By the way, when alll is said and done I will have 2 extra stantions that could be easily repaired. So if anyone needs one, just let me know.
