Replacing standing rigging

Good afternoon all.

I'm getting Sunquest (V1049) ready for another wonderful season on the
Clyde and am going to have to replace the standing rigging. I've had a
quote for £750 + VAT which seems excessive to me!

Has anyone replaced their standing rigging recently at a more
reasonable cost.

I am wondering if I could use Sta-Loks or similar and do the job
myself ......

Cheers the noo,

Hi Bill

Standing Rigging kit is now £475 including bottlescrews. I need exact measurements or the old standing rigging.

Carriage is extra so may be cost prohibitive to the USA or Canada.

My understanding is the materials cost for using StaLok or Hayn HiMod
fittings is quite a bit higher than the materials cost using swaged
terminals, but the advantage is they can be reused when wire
replacement or repair is needed.
So a do-it-yourself job with compression fittings might end up
costing as much as a professionally swaged job. I guess it all
depends on the product you want to end up with.

BTW, the link below needs the "." knocked off the end to work.

I have V 3283 Ponteneur in Holy Loch. Where do you keep your boat?

I have just purchased new standing rigging through VAGB at much less than your quotation. Contact Diana Webb and she should be able to get you a quote.
