Replacing Standing Rig & Mast

I'm interested in purchasing a 1998 Hunter 376 - The biggest issue is that it will need complete rigging, mast and sails.

Does anyone know where I can find a replacement mast? How about picking up secondhand rigging and sales.

I have to make a decision by Saturday if I'm going to make and offer for this boat. I reached out to a few companies - they told me to budget $10K for the mast alone.

Here is the reply form the spar shop manager. "I would estimate $10,000 for a mast assuming this is a conventional mast not roller furling. I would estimate another $2000 for the boom and maybe $2500 for the standing rigging . There are many different brands of wheels but I would budget another $900 for a 42" wheel. Of course this could just scratch the surface i.e. sails, running rigging , furling system, lifelines etc."

I'd really like to find a secondhand Spar and rigging- but don't know where to look.

HUNTER 376
I - 48.0
J - 12.9
P - 49.0
E - 15.3
ISP - 48.0
JSP - 12.9

Can I use any Mast that fits? Is it as simple as changing the Mast Step and sizing the correct size mast?

Thanks again for your discussion.

Once I find the Mast and Standing Rigging - I will start an ongoing video journal of my progress with this boat from the beginning. I'm estimating it will take me 3-4 months to take a boat from gutted to a fully refinished high level of quality. The only part I won't tackle is having the boat professionally repainted (deck and hull).

Any ideas?
