Replacing stand up blocks

One of the original stand up jib sheet blocks on my boat has failed. Thirty five years; not bad, I guess. I'm wondering whether anyone has swapped them out for new ones and if so, whether they needed to drill new holes to mount them.

Rudy sells replacement standup blocks made by Garhauer. Same price I believe. You will need to drill new holes.

if yours are schaffer brand you can send them to them and have them refurbed and they will come back like new

They are Schaefer. I had no idea; thanks for the suggestion!

I just wish I would have noticed this before putting the boat on the hard for the winter.

Boy, am I spoiled!!
D&R Marine is about 30 minutes from me, Schaefer about 45 minutes away (next door to Edson)!

Even the old O'DAY Factory (now home to New England Ropes) is only 40 minutes or so from me.
