Replacing sheaves

I'm replacing the sheaves in the jib sheet turning blocks. The sheaves are Delrin and the pin is SS. The sales person at West Marine recommended Teflon grease, but didn't have any to sell. Should I use Teflon grease and where can I buy it?

If you want teflon grese you can usually find it at Lowes or Home Depot. It is called SuperLube. Bike shops also handle it.

If you want to replace the entire block, contact Garhauer Marine. They will custom drill the cheek block to your existing hole pattern.

I'm having difficulty pressing the SS pins out of the blocks. a 12-ton press isn't budging them. What's next? Heat? Heat gun? Propane torch? I assume the heat goes on the block and not on the pin? Thanks.

Some of them a welded in. New ones with ball bearing are really not that expensive.
