Good morning all, I just got back into sailing after being away from it for quite a while. I just bought a MacGregor 26D and am looking forward to getting back on the water. The problem is that she was sitting outside for quite a while and all the running rigging is questionable and needs replaced. I am somewhat confident In the size and length of the lines but would love to tap into y’all’s wealth of knowledge to verify. It’s a standard 26D with a Hawkin mkII roller furling jib on her. Not sure if the year matters but she’s a 1990. Thanks for any help.

If you didn't already know, the 26s and the 26d are almost the same boat and differ only in how the dagger board is raised. When the 26M 26X came out, people started calling the 26s and 26d the classic models so they are now lumped togeter as 26c. You will see a link on the directory for a 26c as well as a 26s and 26d but in reality you will probably want to explore all three links and then download as much useful stuff as you can want/find.

Thanks for the information. After reading as much about the MacGregor’s I kind of figured the S and D’s were the same sans the keel but I didn’t know about the C being lumped in there too. I was looking at the link you suggested last night going over D and S models. Didn’t find what I was looking for but I will give it another shot looking at the C too. Did find a lot of mods in want to do to her now, queue kid in the candy store. Thanks again.
