Replacing Rub Strip

I am replacing my rub strip on my O-day 25. (Just the section that is formed around the bow.) The replacement piece I have is straight and I was wondering if you guys may know a trick to help form it around the bow. I was trinking maybe heating it with a hair dryer. Any suggestions would help.

Hot water

in a 5 gal bucket or let it sit out in the sun for a while.

BENDING WOOD

I USED A 6IN. PIECE BY 6FT P.V.C. PLUGED AT ONE END . SOAK THE WOOD FOF 5 DAYS. BUILD A JIG . SECURE ONE END AND WITH A P. OF ALTHREAD START BENDING . USE BOILED LINSEED OIL EVERDAY.

Steam

The best way I know of is to use a steam box; quick and effective.

The rub stip is not made of wood its a plastic material with a rubber insert.
